I'm 15, 16 in May. I have scoliosis and my doctor said within 3 years, there's a chance that I won't be able to have children. Having kids is a HUGE part of my future. I don't want to take a chance on not being able to have them. Adoption won't satisfy me. Am I being stupid for wanting to get pregnant after I turn 16? I'm already engaged, he's 22-will be 23 in August. My parents approve, they actually set me up with him. I know he wants kids; they're a big part of his future as well. I don't know what I should do. This is a really tough thing for me; HELP ?! [Frown]

Is there a chance you could voice your concerns to your doctor and ask them how big the chance is you won't be able to have children? Hopefully if your doctor realises how important having children is to you, then they will be able to investigate some options and treatments for you that could maybe help.

I have a good friend with scoliosis which they told her the same thing. She is 24 though and they also told her if she wanted to have children then she should do it soon. If your parents approve then thats kindof a green light for you on the other hand what you do need to think about is if your fiance is going to be a good father and supporter. When you marry young there is the risk of early divorce. You also need to look up the risks of pregnancy in teenagers. Teens have a high rate of cesaren sections. I hope you get throught this good luck to you
