When the period starts in a woman, for how many days will she be under it? and whether is it possible to have sex during the period??

I think the average length of a period is 5-7 days. It is possible to have sex during a woman's period - it's just a little messier than when a woman isn't having her period. But if you do have sex, you still NEED to use protection because, as always, there is a chance of pregnancy during the period. Also, the risk for STIs is a little bit higher because of the blood.
