I've decided, if I ever have children, I want one of my friends to be the father. We're not really close friends, but I do have feelings for him. I care about him alot. I was wondering, has anyone else ever had to do this? Asking someone to be the father/or mother of their child? What's a good way to do it? I'm not planning on doing it anytime soon, but when the time does come I want to be ready.

Reaally, anyone who wants to have a child with ANYONE, no matter the situation; who wants to co-parent with ANYONE should be asking.

But it strikes me that untilately, given the nature of relationships and growth, it's only sage to talk about that with someone else when you really are ready, or know you're going to be interested soon enough that it's time to talk to that person so they have time to consider it.
