The morning after pill is now legal in the U.S. for over-the counter use, without a prescription, for those over 18.

But what does that mean to you?

At the Scarleteen blog here is an in-depth question and answer page about the decision and how it will be applied for all women, about Plan B, and about pharmacist refusals and how to manage them.

At that page is as much information as I could find on what the FDA ruling on OTC status for the morning after pill practically MEANS: who can now get it OTC, when and how, as well as information on what to do in the case of pharmacist refusals. I have also arranged with my ACLU contact a system through which to forward reports any women make to me of refusals to them to keep on file for possible future legal action.

I fully intend to do all I can, and use all the resources I have, to help us all play hardball with this issue.

So, for all the information the geting EC in the states I could find, have a look and inform yourself, send it to women you know so they can be informed. As things progress, if any changes occur per what is stated now, I'll post updates as needed.
