Ive been on yasmin for 2 months now and i just wanted to ask this.

im at the end of the second month on the white pills. yasmin makes your period lighter and i heard sometimes girls mistake "spotting" for their period and they really ARE pregnant. im not THAT worried i was just wondering. im going to take a pregnancy test next week but i was just wondering what i might need to expect. please help! If you've been taking your pills correctly, there really is no need to assume pregnancy.

Implantation bleeding, the spotting that sometimes occurs when a fertilized egg implants on the uterine wall, only happens sometimes. So, spotting isn't a reliable symptom of pregnancy, and if you have bleeding happening about the time it's supposed to w/your pills, you've every reason to suspect that's a normal withdrawal bleed.

But obviously, if pregnancy is a major concern, you can always back up with condoms for your peace of mind, too.
