please help me scarleteen. i had sex about 3 days ago. my condom broke ive been on birth control for about 9 days when that happened. i took an emergency contraceptive the next day about 13 hours later. it was only pre jeaculate fluid. and im worried of being pregnant. i cant tell if i missed my period because i am on a 3 month plan please help me.

Emergency contraception is about 80% effective when taken within 72 hours. So i would say your chances of being pregnant from this risk are pretty small.

You can take a test 10-14 days after the risk, if you want to ensure you did not become pregnant.

Since you took emergency contraception so soon after the incident, and there was no ejaculation, your risk of pregnancy here is very low. All you can do at this point is wait - a pregnancy test will be accurate 14 days after the risk happened, and we always advise taking one after using EC, but until then, just try to relax.
