well, Im 15, and I feel silly not knowing this, but my friends think you cant get preggo, if your on your period, if you can, is it high risk? thanks alot.

The things is, sperm can live inside a comfy environment (like the vagina) for up to 5-7 days. This means if you have unprotected sex on your period, and your cycle just following that is much shorter and you ovulate right away, you could become pregnant.
It's just NOT a safe idea to believe you're at lower risk anytime, because you can't know for sure what your cycle will be like.
When you take one, just remember that a pregnancy test will not be accurate until 10-14 days after your pregnancy risk. If you take the first test and it comes up negative, you can take a second one a week later to double check.
