A miscarriage this early in the game would be unlikely to be any different than a normal period.

An ectopic pregnancy this early, too, would be unlikely to have any symptoms.

(A miscarriage for the record, is simply a pregnancy which does not make it to full term.)

Did you have unprotected sex? If so, you need an STI screening anyway, so if you're still having any troubles when you have those tests done, you can ask your GYN about it.

Well, generally, people take a test when they suspect a pregnancy, as early as possible.

It's generally theorized that as many as half of all fertilizations do NOT result in pregnancies: in other words, that techincally a great many pregnancies result in miscarriages, many without women knowing they were pregnant, or that they miscarried. Very early miscarriages usually are indistinguishable from a period.

In later miscarriages -- after at least a couple months of pregnancy, it is more noticeable, often with heavy bleeding and severe cramping.
