what EXACTLY happens during an abortion in an early stage, and how long does it take. One more - can you do it in the morning and be fine (but with some pain) by nighttime? I am just don't want my parents to know.

First of all, since you posted in "Ask Scarleteen" asking about symptoms of pregnancy, I'd suggest that you take a pregnancy test before you start worrying about abortion.

If you are pregnant and do decide that you want to abort, check out this excellent explanation of first-trimester abortion procedures from Planned Parenthood:

However, I'd strongly advise you to tell your parents, or at least someone else you trust who can be around. In the unlikely event that there are any side-effects or problems like heavy bleeding, you'll need someone who knows what's going on.
