Christopher Patrick arrived August 25th, 2003 at 12:54am. He weighed in at 6lbs 15oz and was 20 inches long. He's a perfect little baby boy who came out with a full head of light brown (curly) hair and seems to have green eyes. He's 2 weeks old today. I'm fine, getting used to the sleep deprivation thing. His daddy is completely in love with him and loves helping me take care of him. --edited by the Smurf--

He's a cutie alright, but unfortunately, for your safety and ours, it's not okay to post identifying information like photographs. Someone will be along to edit this soon, or you could do so yourself.

Congradulations on your litle bundle of joy.
You mentioned you were getting a little sleep deprived, may I offer a suggestion? What I did with my son, was put him in a bassinett beside my bed. When he would wake up, I would pick him up and bring him into bed with me. I would put him on the boob (to breastfeed) and he would munch away and I would doze. Once he fell asleep, he would fall off the boob. If I woke up later, and he was asleep, I would put him back in his bassinett, otherwise he would just sleep in my bed. I meant I got a lot more sleep. I did this when I needed a nap too. It worked well until he learned to roll over (about 3-4 months), then I didn't feel like he was safe in bed with me, but that was my opinion. It is recommened that you try nursing lying down while awake first, a couple to times, so you can make sure the latch is right. There is nothing more painful then waking up the next morning with super sore nipples cause your kid wasn't sucking properly. Trust me! Course all this assumes that you are breastfeeding. Not breastfeeding is okay too though!
Good luck with your son. My mom once told me, "that screaming ball of a dirty diaper will one day be the kid holding your hand telling you I love you!" or something like that, it was 2 years ago, I can't quote her directly! Anyways, it is totally true. There will be moments that will try the patiences of even a budhast monk, and other times it will all seem like you were put on this planet just to be a mom to your kid!
------------------ son: mommy pee in potty? me-run as fast as a can strip him down and put him on the toilet, 2 secondes later son: all done *giggle* repeat 4 times an hour, haven't see pee yet!
Congratulations! All of us here at Scarleteen wish the VERY best for the three of you.
Once again, congratulations!
------------------ "A love so strong, as that which we once shared, blown away by the winds. See it fly, must I do. And all eternity, to find a love that inmense, I try. At last, I embraced it, never letting it go for fear of never getting it back. A love too great that we once shared, I can never have as I did with you. And in saying that you were my true and first love, I depart."
