Hello all!

My period typically runs on a 27-28 cycle, and am currently on what is now day 30, with still no period. My boyfriend and I have never had sex, and any fingering or intimacy never involves sperm being near my vagina, and there is no infection down there. I have been diagnosed with a sinus infection, however. Is this illness one that is capable of delaying a period?

Thanks so much, your site is awesome and has given so much peace of mind to me!!

Hi bandkid,

There are a few reasons why periods might be late; you can read about them here: M.I.A or, Dude, Where's My Period?

In addition, though, even fairly regular cycles will be a little longer or shorter than usual, sometimes, and that isn't a sign of anything amiss; bodies just don't always behave exactly as we expect them to. [Smile]
