Masturbation is not something I have ever seen documented anywhere as a sound cause of anxiety.

Feeling lonely is usually just not about having people around or in your life when you want them there. masturbation can't play a part in that, either, unless, of course, you're spending so much time masturbating you don't have any time left for social interaction.

Most people masturbate, but far fewer people suffer from anxiety. So, again, these things are not likely related.

Are you getting treatment for your anxiety?

Great. So, that's the best person to talk with about anxiety. It's outside what we do and again, it's not something masturbation is causing.

I think that really depends on if you feel comfortable asking them.

If you do, and your counselor doesn't feel qualified to address them or isn't comfortable doing that, all they should say is just that, calmly, and with out it being a big deal.

But plenty of counselors can do just fine talking with young people concerned about masturbation.

Again, I don't see why you couldn't ask her if she'd be willing to talk with you about this.
