oh my god.. i went out friday nite only had a couple of cigarettes and was dancing and singing a lot (at a club).saturday morning i woke up and iv nearly lost my voice and today it's hardly there and my counselor is phoning me 2moz for a chat and its really important - how can i help my throat get back to normal? (it's not sore but i do keep coughing up yellow flem-which i think is a chest infection)

You can drink some tea with honey and gargle with salt and warm water (I know, yuck, but it helps). That helps for pain, it's not guaranteed to get you your voice back. Get lots of rest, and of course if you don't feel better in a couple days, it would be a good idea to see your doctor.

yeah, I just got over a very hoarse throat (a combination of a cold, having to shout to be heard in noisy clubs, and second-hand smoke)

I found that pectin throat drops and lots of water helped me feel a lot better. Try to avoid talking when possible, save your voice. And avoid inhaling more smoke because that'll aggravate your hoarse throat.
