Ok, last spring, i was really insecure about myself, and i started to limit what i ate and checked all food labels. We have a pool party coming up, and had a dance tonight, and almost unconciously, i have been eatin A LOT less. Like...today, after school (3) until 10, and i walked home, which usually makes me hungry, and i ate a nectarine, an ice tea, and a teeny ice cream sandwich. I keep telling myself that i will start eating after the pool party, but im really scared that i am going to have a relapse of last year. If the diet you described is the sort of thing you;re eating when you need fuel, you probably are flirting with being malnourished, which when you;re still growing is a pretty big deal.
Take baby steps: instead of worrying how much or little you;re eating, eat foods that are GOOD for you, in whatever quanitity you;re hungry for. Keep the nectarine, for instance, but swap the iced tea for water, and the ice cream sandwich for a piece of whole grain bread.
Generally, when you eat good foods that provide you with real fduel and nutrition, it's easier to worry less about how much you;re eating, because your body is better at telling you what it needs when you're eating things that are good for you in the first place.
