if your period stops before it should be done, does that mean that it will come back and make up for the days you missed?

I got my period Sunday and its been missing for 3 days, does this mean that if I got it tonight I would have it for the amount of days I missed?

Probably not. Periods don't always act or look the same each cycle-- sometimes they will be heavier, sometimes lighter; and not always on the same days or exactly when we expect them.

Needless to say, they usually don't compensate for their wonky days, either. [Smile]

The duration of your period isn't set in stone. The 5-7 days is a handy average but many people have shorter or longer ones and even a single individual can experience differences from time to time. I've had a period that was just one day's spotting and another than went on heavily for two weeks straight.

I have heard of people occasionally having a break in flow but usually just a long stretch of hours, not days. My guess would be you just had a short one this time around.

What don't kill you is a learning experience.
