hi... i dunno why.. but i am feeling very awkward to ask this question even in an open forum such as this.... ok here goes... i see porn... I've been seeing porn for the past 7 years... now i'm 23.... i never felt any "urgent" need to see porn... and do not have that "can't do without it...!!!!" feeling either.... but lately... for the past month.... i get this feeling of seeing porn everytime i switch on the net to check mail just before going to bed... and i masturbate.... once in two days... it's not like can't do without it... sometime i have tried not to masturbate at all.. just to see whether i can... and i found that i could go on for 10 days without masturbation.. and it also feel like it's a big deal...!!! what i am trying to say is.. masturbation never came into the way of my doing my daily duties and stuff... and i didn't stay home just for the sake of doing it.... but for the past few months i feel i'm into porn a little too much.... i masturbate only at night... just before going to sleep.. and sometimes when i wake up.... and at times i feel uncomfortable at my wrists... just today after i masturbated.. a little vigurously... i got this numb feeling in my palm.... this got me to think "am i overdoing it...?" should i stop doing it....
is that a problem....? please help me with this stuff.... i am a little confused... thanks a lot in advance....

I see nothing wrong with masturbation, especially at your own when you have privacy and whatnot. But if its getting to the point that it hurt physically, perhaps you could try a sex toy of some sort, like a butterfly, or something that is hands-free.

A butterfly is actually a sex toy designed for women, I believe.
It's absolutely normal to masturbate before going to sleep- many, many people do. As long as it doesn't begin to interfere with your daily life, then there's nothing wrong with it.

Don't worry, don't worry, don't worry! You're completely normal! I agree that if you are in a bit of physical pain, you could look into ordering a vibrator. I barely ever use my hands anymore because vibrators are so much easier and (in my opinion) feel so much better!

I've never used a vibrator, I fear it will desensitize me. :/
A butterfly is a hand-free vibrator that (i believe) goes around your thighs and then has a part that is on your vulva that vibrates.

...and yet, there's no evidence, at all, ever, that vibrators will -- or even have the capacity to -- do such a thing.

(Just to remind people, CertifiedSane is male- so suggesting things like butterfly vibrators may not be the most helpful thing, though he's more than welcome to experiment with them, perhaps there's other uses to them that I don't know of. )
