I'm not sure which area this question belongs in because it regards a couple of areas, but I was just curious to know if it's possible to have a delayed period due to stress even if you are on the pill?

I only ask because it's day two of my placebo pills and no flow. The last week and a half I've been under a lot of stress, so I wonder if this is a cause or should I wait a little longer before I panic that it's pregnancy.

Nope -- the mechanisms by which periods can be delayed by stress or illness is by preventing ovulation. One's body looks for optimum conditions for pregnancy before ovulating, so an ovulation may be delayed.

The pill works by preventing ovulation. This means there's no ovulation to prevent, so your withdrawal bleeding will come as scheduled.

Most women don't begin to bleed until several days into their placebo week. There's no reason to worry unless you go all week without bleeding and haven't taken your pills correctly.

Thank you. I had a couple slip-ups weeks ago, but I took the pill when I remembered that I forgot to (if that makes sense), and I didn't engage in sexual activities those days that happened. So I think I'm okay.

Making up single missed pills when you remember counts as taking them correctly, so no worries there. :)
