For better or for worse (and at times both apply) I am very, very large breasted. I am a 46H. My major problem with this at the moment is that it is nearly impossible to find bras in my size.

After completely losing patience with the bras I'd had not fitting right, I went on a 3 hour bra-hunt to try to find something to give me some measure of proper support. I settled on a 48DDD, which while not fitting exactly right is the best I can manage for now. Unfortunately, this is literally the LARGEST size I can find in stores, and I need to have the band strapped at the tightest setting due to the band being a little bigger than it should be. I've tried looking online, but at that the cheapest bra that would fit is in excess of $60...with most being priced $80+.

Does anyone know of a possible way to get extra-large cup sizes in a semi affordable way?

Also, after long periods of standing I tend to have some amount of back pain, due *ahem* to what my back has to support up top. Will a better fitting bra help this any? Else is there any advice on how to strengthen my back or whatever so this isn't as constant a problem?

There is nothing more indisposable than a well fitting bra. And in fact, one that fits you well will likely help out with some of the back problems you are having.

You won't find many stores that carry a 46H bra. Even though you've already looked online, I found a few sites you might be interested in:

http://www.braexperience.com/index.htm
http://www.biggerbras.com/catalog/by_results.cfm?size=46H&start=1
http://www.barenecessities.com/Bras-46H_catalog_nxs,31,size,1078.htm

I've searched through them a bit, and I didn't find much over 60 bucks, so check them out.

Also, if you don't find anything there, you could try looking at maternity bras. They come in the sizes you are looking for no problem.

Here's another excellent maker of bras of all sizes: http://www.decentexposures.com/

My very large-breated friends have always been quite pleased with their wares, and they are as reasonably priced in higher sizes as they are in every other size.

With a cup size that big, you really may want to talk to your doctor. depending on your frame, that is a LOT of boob for your back to carry around, and he or she would be a good person to talk to about all of your options.

Until then, strengthening your back is going to be the wisest thing you can do. Weight training is great for that, as is yoga, and your basic daily activities -- carrying your groceries with a walk rather than a drive, etc.

I do have a large frame....both muscle frame and bone frame...so I do carry them decently well in most instances. Also, I've gained quite a bit of weight due to some of the side conditions of PCOS recently, and they have kinda grown as the weight has gone on. I'm hoping that losing some of the weight that I've put on will reduce my breast size proportionately as well...but we shall see.

I'd prefer see if I can work with an appropriately sized bra first....but else I'm not completely ruling out the idea of a reduction. I just want to be sure my body figures out what it is doing first.

Thanks for the links though....they will be checked out

Also, a side note:

Given, I trained pretty hard and was also teaching, but I found that when I started boxing, that activity specifically built a LOT of extra back, shoulder and arm muscle which didn't change my breast size, but made substantial changes to my breast shape, per stretching things out, changing muscle in such a way to essentially spread my breat tissue over a greater area.

Now, I'ma D-cup, not an H, but bearing that in mind, I found that that made a big difference per how my body supported my breasts. Plus, hey: it's awesome self-defense training, a fantastic emotional release and a really good workout. [Smile]

I am a 42DD and it's absolutely horrible to go bra shopping. Like you, I CANNOT find ANY bras that fit well anymore. Have you tried searching online such as places like www.JCPenney.com, maybe you have one in your town, I'm not sure. But they do have a website. I know they have sizes up to size J or have you tried just typing in your size? I'm sure you can find some good deals. I can't really help you out here, I just know how you feel! I hope all goes well though =)
