Soooooo I had a lot of itching and a bit of discharge coming from the vaginal region, so I figured it must have been a yeast infection, trucked out to CVS, bought a Monistat one-day treatment, and applied it.

The treatment seemed to somehow have a reverse effect, though, because both the itching and discharge became worse.

I'm not sexually active, so I don't know what else it could be... Help??

Thanks

If this is the first time you've suspected a yeast infection, you shouldn't try to treat yourself - you should see a doctor first to make sure it's actually a yeast infection. Since we can't diagnose you without looking at you, and you said you've gotten worse, I'd suggest heading to the doc/gyno.

when i had one my doctor said it could have been a million other things besides being sexually active...anything from being on birth control to using a vibrator to a new kind of soap...i would definitely get it checked out by a doctor tho...when they give you the right medicine and you start to feel better you will want to write your gyn a thank you note...TRUST ME...good luck
