I posted this in the emergency forum about a week ago, but im thinking it might not be really an emergency, but i am worried about it.

When I was showering, I noticed I had a small bruise-coloured by my nipple on the areola(i think thats what its called)
its about the size of a penny and it almost looks like a popped vein(like a bruise)

I've never had anything like this before, so I'm not sure. I was intimate with my boyfriend a couple of days ago, and I was thinking perhaps it was almost like a "breast hickey?"

A "breast hickey" is no different from a normal hickey. So what you are seeing could be that if your boyfriend was sucking in that area, it's not unusual for hickeys to occur especially where skin in more pale, more sensitive, etc. They do happen (I have experience, not the most flattering thing in the world, let me tell ya) and is very likely what you're seeing.

If it doesn't go away after awhile or at least lighten or shrink in appearance and you're worried about it, you can always check with a doctor. Trust me, they've all seen much, much weirder.
