This is kind of hard to describe, but for the past week or so the area around my diaphragm (above my belly button a ways, but in between my ribs) has been feeling really weird. It almost feels like I'm a little bloated but like maybe there's water or something in there- hard to describe, but also, when I press on it, it takes away my breath and is a little crampy.
There's no way this could be a sign of pregnancy, right, especially after I just had my period? (even if it was short)
Nope, it's not a sign of pregnancy - pregnancy doesn't affect your diaphragm until the very end.
It could be you had excess gas or water in your stomach, and that's what you were feeling. It could also be your diaphragm was feeling a little overstressed, especially if you'd just gotten over some hiccoughs. If it hurts or feels weird when you press on it, don't press on it. If it continues to bother you, ask your doctor about it -- it can't hurt to get it checked out.
And, as always, if you're worried about pregnancy, take a pregnancy test, as that's the only sure sign you're going to get.
Sounds like you just had some kind of stomach bug, or gas in your stomach. First signs of pregnancy appear in yout uterus, which is down the bottom, so if its above your belly button, you really don't need to worry.
