I like to keep my pubic region hairless because it's easier when my boyfriend and I are active in sexual activities. I don't like to shave because it causes itchiness and bumps. Waxing doesn't do that to me although last week I tried nair lotion on my pubic region and swelling and irritation occured. Does anyone know of any waxes I could use on my pubic region that won't have any harmful effects?

Nair: YIKES. bad idea, though it seems you've already figured that out.

if you're going for a full pubic wax, you should really go to a salon and get a brazilian bikini wax. more expensive than doing it yourself, yeah, but do you really want to be putting hot things on sensitive regions you can't see all by yourself? I wouldn't.

if you're going for a regular bikini wax... um, never having bikini waxed myself, i'll let someone else handle this one, actually.

There are LOTS of really good creams that you can buy that will take the irrataion out of shaving down there. Alot of the great ones can be found at the salon. Waxing is alot less maitnence but its SO painfull!!

if you like to go hairless because of convenience during sexual activity, you might think about just shaving in the direction of the hair and leaving a little hair so it doesnt cause any irritation you would get with a closer shave...
