I have a horrible period schedule. It never is on track, just comes randomly after 1 month. If I masturbate (using toys) after it is a couple of weeks late, it starts my period. At first I just thought maybe the toys are just maybe making me bleed but then I find out it's my period. I think this is very weird. Has this happened to anyone else, or is this very NOT normal?

Okay, think of your uterus as being a little bit like an upside-down ketchup bottle. During your period, stuff flows out. But sometimes, the last residual matter needs to be pushed out. When you masturbate to orgasm, you cause tiny contractions in your uterus. This is like squeezing the ketchup bottle. With that extra pressure, stuff comes out.
Kinda get what I'm saying? Feel free to ask me to elaborate.

actually, no. after a while, your body will eventually breakdown the leftovers and reabsorb them into your body (unless there is too much to tackle, in which case sepsis and infection can result -- this only happens when there's a blockage in the pipes nad the stuff simply can't exit). anyway, the dark, icky stuff that comes out first is probably full of tissue, mucus and clots (which is normal, btw).

dont get to worried about abnormal periods. It has alot to do with your age as well. Some women dont get on a set schedule untill in thier twenties. mine finally straightend out and I'm 21. Its normal. It also depends on stress levels, diet, etc. So dont worry. Chances are your body is just figuring stuff out.

What I thought of when I read your question was of my own experience. I have noticed that I masturbate way more right before my period - I think it may have something to do with hormones, but I am not sure. Anyway, when I get like that I usually know my period is right around the corner .

as a matter of fact, rose, it has been documented tht women do tend to be most libidinous (horny) right before their periods. yep, it's hormonal.

I find that this is true for me. In fact, when I have been worrying that my period is late, sometimes I will masturbate at night, feel mild cramps while I'm falling asleep, and find that my period has started in the morning. The uterine contractions set off by orgasm are what triggers the bleeding to start.

About unpredictable periods... I never used to know when mine was coming - could be anywhere from two weeks to a month and a half between. I am 29 and have only been able to get control of my periods since I started taking birth control pills. Now I know exactly when I'll be on, and I can even push it a couple of days to either side if I need to. The pills have also lessened my bleeding from 7 days to 4-5 and less strongly, too. I also have less cramps, so I am happy with it. Controlling my period is really my only reason for taking the pills, since I am not seeing anyone, and if I were, it'd be a girl, but I like having control. I have been told that my periods might stay steady if I stop with the pills, and may test that theory, but for now, I'm poppign them ;-) take care out there!

Just thinking about it now if i dont masturbate the week that i'm due but then the week after i do get it never though of it like that
