If I like a guy's abs it's because I like the guy they're attached to. I think a lot of people work like that, though certainly, opinions vary, and not all women are attracted to men at all. But we're not all looking for Masters Of The Universe-looking men, you know.

I feel like such a traitor/very horrible for saying this but honestly... abs are a big turn-on for me. Not because of the culture thing, or maybe partly because of it. Heck, I really like guys' backs too and that's not as usual. Anyway, I recently "hooked up" with a guy with some serious abs and it was very, very pleasant.

Sort of hypocritical because my own abs are hidden under a mushy layer of fat. I'm quite happy with guys who have none. I'm just saying I definitely appreciate the well-defined specimens.

Jenni, that's called a sexual preference, and that's perfectly okay. Some folks like redheads. Some folks like back muscle. Me, I like eyelashes. Ain't nuthin' wrong with liking a particular trait. As for the other bit oyu said, it's also okay to like people who don't look like us. I'm not one to lust for my own reflection, really. and besides, if we craved ppl who looked exactly like us, what would that do for genetic diversity?

So it's cool, jenni, you've got nothing to justify

Not that I rely souly on abs for thinking a guy is hott, or attractive. But yes, I do find well defined abs very sexy. Tone shoulders & backs are also very sexy! heheh...

Personally, I REALLY dislike abs, and any other kind of very well difined muscel. If a guy I really liked had them I could get past it, but that goes for a lot of other things that I normally find deeply unnattractive. So, as other people have mentioned, there are no rules about what girls like in boys (if they even like boys, or what boys like in boys)

...I actually find that, on the other end of the spectrum, I like soft tummies.

Even if I'm totally out of shape, I'm built in such a way that I have a very flat stomach, so I tend to covet the nice, smooshy tummies of others around me.

It also should perhaps be said that most schools of yoga fins that very, very tight abdominal muscles or "six-packs" aren't such a great thing to be having: they can inhibit deep breathing and make a person less flexible.

Lastly, it should also be said that not all of us "girls out there" are interested in guys at all in this way.

It depends greatly on the guy, but I tend to find well-defined muscles unatractive, though I do like the look of a flat stomach. I tend to be attracted to dancer-types - wiry rather than muscular. On some few men, well-developed abs can be sexy, though.
