Well, it is really embarrassing but I just got my period an hour ago and I sat down and I can't get up because it hurts really bad like not soreness or cramps...its kind of a sharp pain *down there* I have never ever had this before--It just hurts like I don't know what! Is this normal? Please hurry! thanks so much

I'm not sure if you've got the same thing I sometimes have, but...it's worth a shot. The problem you described sounds like it could possibly be caused by clotting - do you notice any thick clumps of tissue on your pad or in the toilet? This is not medical advice, and if the pain continues, see a doctor, but during almost every period I have lots of clotting, and when a clot is "passing", it causes lots of sharp pain.
However, it's definitely best to ask a doctor if the pain is really bad. Even if it goes away relatively soon, ask your doc at the next appointment.

I have tons of clots when I am on my "rag." Is that normal? I really can't say what the sharp pain is though, I just get that blotted kinda cramps.

Clots are normal for sure. I noticed that they slacked off as I got older but were very bad when I was in my early teens...
