I like getting hickeys. It feels soooo good. Especially hickeys on my stomach. Damn. And I always used to want to give my boyfriend hickeys, but his parents are crazy and very strict, and he was afraid. It sucks though that in the spring and summer, ya know, the "season of love", you can't bear to wear a turtleneck to cover up, because it's so hot, but you've got these massive hickeys.
I've got a solution for that though... the cold spoon. Put a spoon in the freezer until it's freezin cold and press the backside into the hickey... press REAL hard, and it'll hurt a lot, but supposedly it pushes the blood vessels back in so the hickey isn't as obvious. Or you can just use an ice cube. But that hurts even more because it's so cold.
Hehe freshman year, one of my friends gave her boyfriend these MASSIVE hickeys all over his neck. And these were BRUTAL. They were like almost black and blue, they were so dark. He had to wear a turtleneck. It was still warm out. Lol.

I find hickey's quite amusing. Especially when my boyfriend and I have hickey fights, to see who can give the darkest one. I don't see all the fuss about it...you know what they say "Hickey's are soooo 7th grade" My friends call me immature, but I just call it plain 'ol fun!

hey yall arent hickeys said to give cancer or(tumors) because the blood clogs and if you keep on doing them it will clog and have blood clogs. this is what someone told me. but im not entirely sure so your better off if you dont believe me

No, they don't. Hickeys are bruises, basically, and as far as I know, the "cancer" thing is an urban legend.

i wanna hickey, and my bf wants to give me one, but as you know it is the start of summer no turtlenecks allowed, plus my parents are as stricted as heck, and yah. hickey would be bad. he actually offered to give me one on my breast..i thought that was interesting...nobody would see it....but yah. well maybe next time...

I personally can't stand Hickey's. They really, really hurt. And the thought of someone sucking my blood to the surface just doesn't sit well with me.
However, I tolerate them, because my male cohort seems to thuroughly enjoy giving them, and watching me while he does it. Something about marking his territory...I'd definantly prefer this over other methods.

I don't think hickeys hurt that much, it feels cool.
My boyfriend gave me one a few days ago, and thank god it wasn't on my neck or my parents would have killed me (right after they killed my boyfriend hehe) so he did it on my breast... it's kind of fading now.

I just got in a bad fight with my mom yesterday over a hickey on my collar bone. My boyfriend likes to give me hickeys, but usually where my parents can't see them. I don't really mind them. I just don't really like to see other people with obvious hickeys on their necks because I guess my mom has drilled in my head that it makes the person look cheap or something like that. I don't know.

I've done the sucking your own arm thing when i was younger. i had those contests with my brothers of who could make it darker. we really didn't see anything bad about them, but we got grounded and we stopped.

LOL it's funny, because i remember doing that when i was about 8 or 9 and i had a HUGE mark on my arm, and i didn't even know what a hickey even was yet!!

Oh, I have a funny hickey story. First of all, I think they're great and so amusing, but they attract far too much attention at times. *lol* Once one of my friends that's happens to be a girl gave me a hickey at a party because we were both really lustful and there weren't any guys in the immediate vicinity. Unfortunately, it was on my neck, which meant I had to where a scarf for like five days because the bruise she left was so dark before it went away. Oh, it was so hard to try to explain to my friends what had happened (in other words say I got in a cat fight and was covering up the slight bruise, yeah, a lie, I know) with a straight face. Dang it was crazy!

i really want a hicky i have never gotten one...i mean i had sex with my boyfriend and everything but he wont give me a hicky i dont know Y..i really want one just to experience it...i dont know i have this urge to get a hicky and everytime im with him i confront him about it but he says no becasuse he doesnt want me getting caught i told him to do it somewhere where no1 can see but he wont do it... how can i get him to give me one... i mean it doesnt make sense how he will do alo t of other stuff but no hicky!

Destiny, I think you have to accept that your boyfriend just isn't comfortable with giving you a hickey. Respecting your partner's limits is an important part of any relationship.

This is a really cool topic! hehe i got one on my neck when my bf stayed over for a few days during the holidays. i forgot it was there ( it was small enough to pass) and my mum teased me . Anyway ive had a few, not recently from my bf tho i like to give them to him, cause hes got short hair and you can see them! this one time i gave him one on the forearm and just above his V-Line (mmm) and he walked around with no shirt on when we where at a friends house and he got teased too. it was funny at the time. Note to Flygirl890: Medically, a hickey is a bruise and will heal at th same rate as other bruises do on your body. There is no special way to make them heal faster. Using a concealer should help if you don't want them noticed.
Which brings up the obvious question:If you don't want them noticed, why do you allow someone to give you a hickey?

At least for me, I love getting hickeys but it's true I don't like when people see them. So why do I keep getting them? Because having someone suck on your neck, breast, whatever feels good. And at least to me, giving a hickey feels sexy and lustful. Besides, in the heat of the moment I have a tendency to forget that they're visible! :P

I think hickeys are fun, but only when they happen occasionally. Hickeys are usually planted around the neck or near the shoulders, for me and my fiance. Usually takes place during makeouts and sexual intercourse

My boyfriend likes to give me at least one hickey every time we get intimate. I usually have two or three on my chest at any given time. I don't allow them on my neck since it would get unwanted attention, but I have no problem getting them on my breasts.
As far as why I get so many: my boyfriend likes making sure there is NO question of my availability, which is fine since I do the same to him.
