Have you seen a doctor about this? Any bad smell from the vagina should be assessed by a doctor, because it is usually a sign of infection. Self-treatment is not a good idea, because the wrong treatment can make an infection worse. Products which claim to clean your vagina are also bad news because they can irritate and they can upset the balance of the normal bacterial flora. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Actually it could be washing that's causing the problem. Soap and other cleansers belong in your vagina no more than in your eyes. It's fine to wash your vulva with a mild soap but not actually inside your vagina; it will clean itself without any effort from you.  If you're being a bit too thorough with the washing why not cut that out for a week or so and see if it helps. If that's not the issue check in with your doctor as Londongirl suggested. IP: Logged |

I also want to toss in that vaginas will tend to smell like vaginas. They do have an odor. But if what you're experiencing is a strong odor (and really foul as you're saying), one that's different especially from what you were once used to, listen to the other folks. ------------------ IP: Logged |
