For many of us, this is a season of celebration (religious and otherwise) and gift giving. How about giving your partner (or somebody else) a Safer Sex Kit? Ideas for a basic kit may be found in the Safe, Sound, and Sexy article on this site. Some other ideas which occur to me are: Colored condoms (red and green for Christmas comes to mind) And on the sexy/romantic side: Maybe you could buy ingredients for your kit from the Scarleteen Shop! Excellent idea! When compiling a kit, one shouldn't forget to get a nice decorative sturdy box or bucket that you can keep your tools near your point of action with; or if you are compiling a travelling kit, how about a light little box that is small enough to live and be merry and in reach in backpacks and purses? Here's an idea for making the container decorative and unique-decoupage it! (I'm such a crafty geek, sorry). There's some excellent decoupage instructions here that explain it better than I ever will. (And if you're looking for some slightly sexy piccys to decoupage with, why not try these Retro Pin Up-Girls? I have a whole wardrobe decorated with them! Anyway, I love the idea, but some of us (that'll be me then)aren't in relationships-so how about a 'self love' kit? You'd have to be very good friends with whoever you gave it to, or you could just keep it yourself. In the kit I would put:
Of course, I'm not old enough to buy half that stuff, but I like the idea. It may also be considerate to put a lock on the container in case of prying parents/siblings! Wow, you could have hours of endless fun making and decoupaging these. You have no idea how itchy this has made my craftiness muscle-I have to go decoupage, quick! IP: Logged |

That sounds like a great idea, BJade, both as a self-present and as a present for a good friend. I'd certainly be more than thankful if someone took the time to carefully select a kit like that for me.  A good addition might also be a book on masturbation - like Betty Dodsons "Sex for One", which I still haven't read but which is on my reading list for this winter, after seeing the old lady on tv. very clever. methinks this thread is gonna get a bumping around valentine's day, too  and why stop at val's and xmas? my friend gave me bondage gear for my birthday. unfortunately, i haven't had a chance to use it, nor will i probably get to -- for a while, anyway. ------------------ IP: Logged |

Indeed, Gummy, indeed. Safer Sex kits are a good present all year round! Actually, my dearest friend Tina is getting a few condoms and some single use tubes of lube in her "Adventskalender" (it's something we have here in Germany, you make a little package with something nice for every day of December leading up to Christmas. some people buy pre-packaged Calenders with a chocolate a day; i prefer to pack 24 packages of little things, or chocs, or gummy bears, myelf for the dear people in my life). ------------------ "Through repetition the magic will be forced to rise."
