Ok, I just had to come here and brag. I'm so excited. Yesterday my karate/self-defense class ran a Safer Sex and Self-Defense Fair. We had a rather small turnout, and rather huge amounts of donated condoms. So I got to take home 145, yes 145 Durex Enchanced Sensation Lubricated Condoms. Woohoo! Plus lots of free lube samples. Most had spermicide(boo!) but I managed to grab a bunch of non-spermicide ID brand lubes, and some flavored ones. Even better . . . I got a whole free bottle of Astroglide because I went to the store and bought it. I figured that I should buy a bottle anyway, and it would be good to show what the box looks like so people could find it. Then the dojo actually reimbursed me for the astroglide and let me keep it. Woohoo! Then at Brooklyn Pride I was handed a safer sex kit with even MORE astroglide in it, plus some flavored dental dams and latex gloves! Woohoo! I totally racked up. I guess that's what happens when you teach safer sex workshops  Also, there were a bunch of flavored condoms too. I got a lot of those because I was willing to teach the other girls in my karate class how to put a condom on with your mouth. I showed them on a cucumber, of course! BTW, don't try it without practicing a lot (not on a penis) because it is quite difficult to do it properly without leaving air bubbles and not letting your teeth touch at all. ------------------ IP: Logged |

They don't expire until 2005. I've got until my third year in college. All things going well, I'll be able to use them before they expire. Well at least I hope I get to have the kind of sex that requires a condom 145 times within the next four years. That's what, like, every other week? Totally doable. ------------------ IP: Logged |

All I can say is you go girl. And good luck on your safer sex odyssey. How does one put on a condom with one's mouth? That's quite a handy skill I could use. If I ever meet another gay guy and there's magic, something seeming all too unlikely right now. Sorry, just had to gripe about my single status. yay, poetgirl! too bad the turnout for the safer sex fair wasn't huge, but lucky for you that you scored all those free condoms...145 nice well made durex condoms! so versatile in use, too! Going on a trecking trip? use them to store water! Needing deco for the party? - blow em up! Not having male genitals but female genitals around? cut themdamn condoms up! Actually, I learned that skill at a queer youth conference two years ago. In the safer sex area, this man was showing people how to do it as I walked by. Lucky timing. I've never actually used it on a person. The thought to do it has simply never occured in a sexual situation. But hey, cucumbers are fun. ------------------ IP: Logged |

I used to do some outreach volunteering for Planned Parenthood, and got free goodies sometimes. However, I always gave them away because I wasn't sexually active at the time and didn't want my mom to find them! IP: Logged |

Hehehehe!!!!!!!! More free stuff! I was at this queer pride event on Sunday at this place called Dumba. It's hard to explain, but it's sort of like a collective, where people live on the top, and there's a performance and event space on the bottom. Anyway, the people who live in and run Dumba were giving stuff away. They had a huge pile of stuff that they didn't want that they just wanted people to take. There was clothing, books, CDs, games, etc. And sitting on one shelf, there were two big bottles of Probe lubricant with the safety seals still on. How cool is that? Now, I can't imagine why anyone would want to give away unopened lube, but who am I to question? So I took the two bottles and gave one to the friend I was there with, because it turned out that she desperately needed it. So, woohoo! More free stuff for me ------------------ IP: Logged |

145 condoms?! In one place at one time. I think you should either hide them, to avoid having to explain what you're doing with that many (stealth condoms!), or . . . maybe make a pinata, or build little structures with them . . . why am I feeling so creative suddenly? IP: Logged |

Girl, I'm jealous to no ends! I am a po' white Arkansan folk! I can't afford to go buy 20572357425 condoms and bottles of astroglide! I realy need some! *hint*hint* I need condoms too!
