Maybe it's just me, but is it normal to breakout when you're on your period? I start getting pimples all over my face and OTHER places too.. like my buttocks (REALLY weird). Is this normal?!

you just gotta deal i guess :/
i finally found somthing that always takes my zits away, its a combination of this face wash called "Tersaseptic" and this perscription stuff called "Sulfacet-R" (topical cream you wear over night & works as a cover up cuz its skin colour)
IT ALWAYS works for me and my friends, so ask your doc about it

Yup yup ... It's normal to have pimples in your teen years anyway. I'm pretty sure it has something to do w/ hormone changes in your body when you're getting your period. I just use "Clean and Clear" foaming face stuff and an astrigent (sp?, it's basically alcohol) in b/w scrubs

Yes, that's very normal. I decided to forego the store-shelf remedies (it was getting costly and nothing was working) and go to a dermatologist. I loved him and the experience and I'll never use anything non-dermatologist-recommended again. I was on everything-- Cleocin T Pledgettes and lotion, Differin gel and cream, tetracycline, minocycline, Retin A, Avita, Triaz (I think; not for long because I got a rash), Accutane, and Ortho Tri Cyclen. I think the Accutane helped the most, but he thought Ortho would help with maintenance. I'm not sure if it does or not-- I'm still on it, for contraceptive purposes now, but my face is generally clear. If you ever have any questions about dermatology-- I'm your girl. I'd love to help you if I can.

Man guys, I have the exact same problem as well, except they only occur on my face and temples. I know it's normal because of hormonal changes with the body, but it seemed like the pimples never went away, and when they did, my period would be due to start again and they'd all come back. I tried EVERYTHING, and at first it'd work (first few days), but then they'd slack off and the pimples would come back worse.

I was at wal-mart about a month ago, and I saw some Clean & Clear products on sale. I saw this new product called OIL-FREE CONTINUOUS CONTROL ACNE WASH, which helps treat and prevent breakouts. It is salicylic acid acne medication, so make sure you have no allergic reaction to that product, which isn't a very common allergic reaction, I might add. Let me tell you, this stuff works miracles! It's so inexpensive too. I bought it about a month ago, and you wouldn't believe it, I use it EVERY night before I go to bed, and it's not even an eighth of the way gone. I say this will last me at least 5 months, and it's only 3 bucks. It's in a purple bottle and it foams as soon as it's is exposed from out of the bottle. It makes your skin so soft, and I have really dry skin, so that's very hard to maintain, but my skin is so soft now. It doesn't burn either, so that's a plus. I have so much to say about this wash. When I first got it, I started seeing differences, but then, the pimples started coming back and more in a bunch, I was angry and I called the customer service representatives and told them the problem, they asked how long I'd been using it, I said about a week and a half, they said, well that's why, because this acne wash first brings up the pores, letting them then be released within 2 days, once the pores are exposed, your face will be so clear, you won't even look like yourself.

I sound like a walking advertisement, huh? I just had to brag somewhere, it's such a blessing.

I get acne right between my eyebrows about a week before my period. I'm using toner now, and it's helping a lot. I haven't had as much of problem since i started use.
