Hey Bostone, welcome.

My first advice to you would be to relax... there's no need to rush into a sexual experience just so you can prove something to yourself. There are lots of people out there who identify as bi, or gay, or even straight, without ever having an experience with the same (or opposite) sex.

There's no rush to "decide" who you are. Who you are is fluid and will probably change. There's also no rush to tell your parents, but when you do feel you're ready, www.pflagphila.org/brochure.htm has some good tips. So good luck, and take it slow.

Why do you need to decide at all? It's not like your driver's licence is going to list your sexual orientation, or other people (unless they're considering you as a potential partner -- maybe), need to know, and there are some people who don't even define themselves as gay, straight, or bisexual, and are just fine with that. Rizzo had some really good points, too, so why worry about it?

Personally, I classify myself as a woman in love with a man. One day, I might be a woman in love with a woman, but maybe not. Because I am partnered in a monogomous relationship with a man, if I HAVE to tick a box, I tick "heterosexual" because it describes my current situation, and that's all it describes.

My sister identified as a lesbian for years and years, and now she's going through a "boys" phase. She still tells people she's a lesbian.

I hate labels, I really do. Why people need to put themselves in a box is beyond me.

Hope this helps,
