Q: I had 'dry sex' with my boyfriend, could i get pregnant from this?

A: If semen comes in contact with your vulva, then there is always potential for pregnancy.

Q: I missed my period, could I be pregnant?

A: Yes, if you had unprotected sex in the last month then you could, in all possibilities be pregnant. Go to the drugstore and pick up a pregnancy test. If you can't afford a pregnancy test, go to your closest Planned Parenthood.

If you're not sure if you had unprotected sex or not, get a test anyway, just to be sure. Periods can come late for all sorts of reasons, like stress or hormone fluctuations.

Q: Can I get pregnant from pre-ejaculate?

A: Yes, there are sperm present in pre-ejaculate, and you could potentially get pregnant. As soon as the clothes come off, the protection goes on. Don't mess around.

Q: I had unprotected sex, what do i do?

A: If you're not planning on getting pregnant, go to your doctor, a planned parenthood clinic, or the closest emergency room and get the Morning After Pill, it can be taken up to 72 hours after unprotected sex.

If you are already pregnant, it won't act as an abortion pill.

Q: I got a home pregnancy test, but it came up negative. What should i do?

A: Take another test, to be sure. It's better to get to a doctor and take a blood test, just to be positive. HPT's can sometimes give false negatives.

Q: I got a home pregnancy test, and it came out positive. What should i do?

A: Home pregnancy tests will almost never give a false positive. Go to your doctor or a planned parenthood clinic to talk about your options.

Q: I got a home pregnancy test, and i can't read the answer. What should i do?

A: First, call the number on the box, there is usually a hotline where people can aid you in figuring out your test answer.

If it's inconclusive or negative Go to a PP clinic, or your family doctor to take a blood test.

Q: I just found out i'm pregnant, and i'm scared. What should i do?

A: Talk to someone, a friend, a parent, your partner, or your doctor. You need to suss out your feelings about being a parent (or not).

Q: I just found out i'm pregnant, and I don't know how to tell my boyfriend or my parents, how do i broach the subject?

A: The best way to tell them is to just come out and say it. If you're nervous about telling your parents, maybe you should engage them in a hypothetical conversation, like 'what would you think if...' That way you can test the waters before you dive in.

People like it when you're up front and honest. No one likes to find out things through other people.

no problem.

I was kind of concerned that this forum was overrun with questions pertaining to the 'i think i might be...'

I thought maybe if people read this then we could talk a little more about actually being pregnant, and the questions and conerns around that.

glad i helped!

Zoink! Up. Read up a few posts and people were asking, thought I'd bump it back up.
