Sorry to hear that you're having such a rough time at the moment. Do you feel safe right now (overnight)? I think the volunteers will be around to talk with you again in the morning and give you some local resources. What happened with your counsellor? If she left, did she refer you to someone else who can help you better? You also mentioned in your other thread that a mentor lady was helping you? Is there any other person in your life, apart from your boyfriend, that you could contact for support?

Has your counsellor referred you to any other services for when you stop seeing them? If your living situation is changing significantly (ie. moving to the other side of the city, or to a different city) they will certainly be able to help you find services closer to you, and if the change isn't too significant they should still refer you to another counsellor. And if they haven't done so yet, you can most definitely ask them to. How much longer will you be able to see this counsellor? And have you spoken to the friend you feel you can trust? If not, do you want help figuring out how you can start talking to them about it?

Okay well the counsellor should still be able to refer you to someone else or some other service that can help you. I'm not sure what you mean by "kind of referred", so if you could clarify that, I'd appreciate it. Have you spoken to that friend about any of this? And what about the mentor you mentioned in your other thread? Is that someone you feel you could trust with this information and to be supportive of you?

Glad to hear that you are able to talk to your friend a lot, and that you feel you will be able to talk to your mentor about this. It is always important to have some good solid in-person support. When will you be going to this service to get help with your skills? Do you know whether they also supply counselling services so you could go there when you finish with your current counsellor? If you don't know, you could always ask them about that when you go. [ 01-03-2013, 09:59 PM: Message edited by: Onionpie ]
