Using condoms for any oral, vaginal or anal sex offers you excellent protection from Syphilis. Not 100% protection: only not being genitally-sexual together will do that if you want to take NO risk. Obviously, too, this will all depend on how she feels and what she wants. She may want to take some time off of sex until she feels better physically, and also while she sorts out her feelings about having contracted Syphilis. As to when her syphilis is fully treated and no longer present, you can both know that when she's done with treatment and is tested again and tests negative. Have you also been tested yourself for STIs?

quote: syphilis trust is 1:4 TRUST is an antigen test for syphilis. Here's more information for you on that: http://www2a.cdc.gov/stdtraining/Self-Study/syphilis/syphilis10.asp I can't say how many more injections she needs: only her doctor can know that. Per your own STI testing, I was not aware if you have been sexual with her before or not: you hadn't said. But if you have been sexual with other partners before, you'll want to get your own testing done for sexualy transmitted infections.

Syphilis is transmitted by direct contact with syphilis sores, which can usually are in or around the genitals, and much more rarely, on the lips or mouth. vaginal, anal and/or oral sex are the ways syphilis is most commonly transmitted. Kissing would not be considered a risky activity unless she has any syphilis sores on her mouth.
