Now and again, we get someone who donates enough to Scarleteen that they would get a book in return, but a couple of times over the last month or so, someone has donated who already has a copy, and they've told me that if I knew someone in need of one, I should just give their copy to them. That said, if you or someone you know does need a copy of the book but is very low-income, or living in a location where you just can't find one, and you're unable to order one online, leave a post here. (I do ask, though, that you not be greedy about it: if you really do have a way of getting a copy yourself, and are not seriously down and out financially, please leave this option open for someone who really is in that position.) Right now, I do have two copies sitting here from that situation I could send out to two people in need. In a month or so, we will also be starting a fundraising drive which will result in donors being in a random drawing for free copies for little to nothing, so there's that, too. But for now, and henceforth, feel free to leave a note for in-needs here, be sure your email address in your profile is current, and I'll email any of you, in order, when donated copies are available to get an address to send them to.

I would love a copy of it, that is, if nobody else claims it... I'm not really financially underwater...but there's not one at the bookstore (or any bookstore here for that matter)and my credit card is completely spent, so getting things online is kinda out--- my parents would kill me... My mom also sorta confiscated all the actual informative sex books (one's that don't just talk about puberty) awhile back in an "I think you're starting to get interested in physical intimacy" Tirade... (I am, but no reason to you know, go fahrenheit 451 on me!) Anyway, if nobody else asks...

I have a couple donated copies ready to go out, so I'll email a few of you in the next couple of days. Jumperqueen, I'm waiting on yours, simply because as someone who doesn't have any kind of property myself -- a car nor horses -- I feel like there are likely other folks in a bit more need. Just for the record, if folks replying to this could just kind of explain their financial status and need, that'd be helpful in prioritizing these.

I'm on my local Planned Parenthood's Teen Council and I feel this book would be invaluable to not just me, but my other Teen Council members. I'd love to go buy it but I live in a fairly conservative town and finding one in a bookstore is hard to do. I can't buy one online since I don't have my own credit card or debit card right now. Also, my family's having a lot of trouble with money. My mom recently lost her job and we're trying to make things work with my dads salary but its hard. I'm having to pay bills for my family and I work 15 hours a week on minimum wage.

Would really really like a copy of the book - jobless currently, for the last eight months, it feels like I'll never work again. Put me at the bottom of the list, though. I don't mind if it's a while before I finally see one.

Actually, anyone on this list either has had a copy sent already or didn't respond when I emailed for an address to send it to, Anansi, and I do have a couple copies sitting here for donation. So, if you use the "contact us" link below and send me your address, I can get one to you.

Without anyone emailing me yet today, I have around five available to donate. Just be sure, if you're emailing me with a post address to ask for one, that you know you're in a deep need and really can't come up with less than $20 yourself. That way, we can make sure books for donation are available to those with the greatest need.

It sure is. Go ahead and use the "contact us link" at the lower left and send me your post information. Donations have been low this quarter, but I do still right now have two copies sitting waiting to be donated to someone in need. I'd be delighted to get one of them to you.

Might you have any to spare, Heather? I'm a broke college student and it's difficult to find around here. Thanks

I know a lot of people have already shown an interest, but I would like to raise my hand. I'm not as financially stuck as some, I know, but my parents are strongly against buying things online -- especially a book entitled "S.E.X". They;re pretty against buying anything that isn't and 'unavoidable expense' at the moment! >_> So, I am aware I'd be at the back of the queue but if you ever have a spare copy, please send it my way and I would be very grateful! Please don't put me before someone else who is more in need though, and I will meanwhile work on getting around my parents!

Just FYI, the book can be purchased in bookstores, too. Just like any other book, if yours doesn't carry it, you just ask them to order you a copy.

Thanks that someone has asked for having a look at your book for free otherwise i it donot seem practical for me to ask for one. The problem is that our society are that much closed minded where a voice of your`s scarleteen cannot air the suffocation. We are in a dire need of better understanding the relationship spectrum especially the sexual one , which is the big taboo. ISLAM donot abstain us from getting that knowledge but the way it is portrayed without having an enlightened rays for those suffering in households make me feel bad. I really appreciate your work at scarleteen i have read. I wish your work reach those silent victim of rape and abuse like the one of thousand rape victim MUKHTARA MAI. I salute her determination to breake this silence. Please let your work speak for them and the generation of our age to better understand the sex and respect. I have been quenching my thirst for knowledge through your scaleteen and would like to read your book S.E.X for free. Please me send me a soft copy through my email. PAKISTAN
