So after 2 months of dating and one month of sex, I had unprotected sex with my BF, hes clean of STIs has not had sex since his last negative test and me (I was a virgin) I went for the morning after pill the next day and everything was fine. But then when we tried having sex the next night( with a condom I might add), I had a very sudden, severe sharp pain inside. The only way to describe it is a kind of burning stretching stabbing pain......After about 20 seconds it faded and we had normal sex. I felt fine afterwards. The next day however, I had a really disgusting smelling discharge. But then the next day, it was gone! He had to go away for the weekend, so we didn't have sex from Thurs to today (monday) and I haven't had any pain at all. We had sex today and everything was completely painless and normal up until penetration when I got the exact same stabbing burning intense pain! Now I'm worried tomorrow I'll have the terrible discharge again.... Can an STI cause this kind of pain? Can an STI be so noticeable a DAY after unprotected sex? What about Latex allergy? Could it have caused an irritation inside? My BF is adamant he's clean.....

Generally allergic reactions to latex happen within minutes or even hours, and have lasting symptoms. I don't think that's the case here, but if you do get intense itching or notice any hives or shortness of breath, you should definitely get to a doctor. Very, very few STIs can (rarely) manifest themselves within one day of exposure. However, I do think it's a good idea for both you and your boyfriend to get tested, regardless of his confidence that he hasn't been infected. Are you feeling anxious about contracting an STI? If so, that, or any other source of stress could greatly contribute to physical discomfort during sex. Also, can you tell me where in your vagina is the pain happening? Is it more near the entrance or further up?

Also? How about you review some of what I posted to you here on these issues: http://www.scarleteen.com/cgi-bin/forum/ultimatebb.cgi?/ubb/get_topic/f/28/t/006338/p/1.html#000000 Have you yet gone ahead and scheduled your own screening and sexual health exam? We can't rely on one partner's STI test results to know our own sexual health status: to know that, we need to get our own tests.

Yes I have an appointment for a screening on the 4th of january. Poly: It right at the entrance and it's only during the first few seconds of penetration. Its much like a stabbing stinging burning feeling. But once I've been penetrated I have little or no pain at all during thrusting etc. It happens on a smaller scale when I'm being fingered too, just slightly painful.

Are you using lubricant right from the start?

Did the condoms have spermicide or were they lubed? I've found I have that reaction with spermicide condoms, or some kinds of lube that aren't very good. I prefer to just buy unlubed condoms and use my own, high quality lube. I think I'm sensitive to some chemical that can be used, anyway the sensation I get from that sounds EXACTLY like what your describing.
