While having sex my boyfriend and I had a condom mishap while he was withdrawing. He withdrew but the condom was only half out when he was completely. His Baby Gravy (Semen) Came nowhere near me and It was a day after the ewcm mucus disappeared. My chances of being pregnant from this? We tried again a few hours late but this was all after everything was cleaned up and completely dry. I'm a few days from my next due period, But I know pms symptoms can also be be pregnancy symptoms. I've read allll the articles but I'm worried. And Should I make it out of this scare, what Is a good type of birth control for college aged young women? I was On a combination pill but it made my hair fall out

HI LittleMissO and welcome to scarleteen, So, if I understand what you're saying correctly, you're saying that your boyfriend withdrew his penis but the condom stayed inside your vagina? If so, that is considered a condom failure. If it's been less than 5 days (120 hours) since this sexual encounter, and you do not wish to become pregnant, you have the option of taking emergency contraception, also known as Plan B or the morning-after pill. If you are over the age of seventeen, you should be able to get this at any pharmacy counter. If it has been longer than 120 hours, or you choose not to take emergency contraception, your only other option is to wait until 14 or more days after the risk and then test for pregnancy. You mentioned having PMS symptoms. If this sexual encounter was recent (as in days or weeks ago, rather than months) these would not be pregnancy symptoms. It takes a minimum of 10 days for a pregnancy to occur if an egg is fertilized and usually takes longer than that before pregnancy symptoms start appearing. So, again, if this has been within the last 5 days you can take emergency contraception to reduce your pregnancy risks; otherwise, you'll want to wait at least two weeks from the risk and then test for pregnancy. For birth control options, you can start by checking out this set of articles.Birth Control Bingo! We'd be happy to discuss any of the options here in greater detail.

Today Makes it the 10th day since the mishap. I would've taken Emergency BC but I honestly thought nothing of it till last wee I'll purchase a pregnancy test if my period doesn't arrive on schedule.

Nodding... Just know for next time that when the condom slips off and stays in the vagina, even if it doesn't look like the semen spilled, that does constitute a condom failure. You can also make sure either you or your boyfriend is holding the base of the condom as he withdraws. If you'd like to talk about birth control options, we'd be happy to do so any time. Also, if you find yourself needing to talk about the pregnancy test results, whichever way they go, we can talk about that too.
