Hi, I know I was already told that there is NO PREGNACY RISK in my situation, but I could not help myself but to buy a pregnancy test just to make sure. I was wondering when is best time to take it so I can trust the results. I bought 2 so I can take one in one week and another in a week if it is negative. When is the best time? I already read your pregnancy test forum and it says to wait at least to 2 weeks or after a missed period, which ever come first or take it in 3 weeks just in case. But I am confused when to take it in my situation. You see I am on birth control and when starting my new pack I starting it a day late so instead of taking it Wednesday morning I took it Thursday morning and then took another at night on Thursday to regulate my period, now I have been taking it religiously for the rest of the month. I started bleeding about 10 days before taking my sugar pills. So I have been bleeding for about 6 days on and off and today as well. I have done two sexual activities - one 2 weeks ago and another 1 week ago. Since my period came early would I count this as after my period and take a test? Or wait till I am completely done my sugar pills and take a test, then it will be accurate for both times? Or should I wait another 2 weeks to take it since my last sexual activity was a week ago and just to be sure wait that long to in total to make 3 weeks since my last sexual activity and it will be accurate? Also I bought the first response tests so they can test about 5 days before your missed period. So since those are more sensitive in testing a pregnancy early do I have to wait 3 weeks to take it? Sorry for all the information, I hope you can help me. Thanks.

How about this: since it has been two weeks since the first sexual activity you are concerned might have been a risk, you can take a test now, and then re-test in another week. As for how to take a test, you'll want to take a close look at the directions that came with the test. Pregnancy tests tend to come with pretty detailed instructions.

So I can trust the result for sure though after 2-weeks? I can take it now then and another in a week. Is it because the pregnancy test I bought it more sensitive to reading a earlier pregnancy? I am just wondering since you said in your pregnancy test forum to wait 3-weeks just in case. Should I? I just don't want to buy another pregnancy test if I waste the two I have now.

Three weeks is to be on the safe side...so you certainly can take a week before taking a test at all. ON the other hand, if you take one now, and one in a week, that second one will have been after 3 weeks. You have all the information, so when you test is really up to you. *gentle smile*
