Hi, I don't think the following scenario poses a risk, but I just wanted to check: I touched my bf's genitals for a little bit. He might have had pre-ejaculate, but I can't remember. Then, I rubbed his torso and about 10 minutes later I went to use the bathroom. I always wash my hands before touching him, but this time I forgot. I'm pretty sure that my hands were dry...At one point I touched over my underwear to check for any wetness-I know that sperm can't got through clothing, I'm just worried that because my underwear was a bit wet that it somehow got through.... My concern is that the hand that touched my bf's genitals got in contact with my genitals as I was using toilet paper and when I was checking my underwear. Is there any risk from this? Thanks

No, what you described here does not present a risk; sperm cells are too delicate to be transfered on hands. [ 01-01-2012, 04:36 AM: Message edited by: Seashy Rae ]

Hi, sorry to bother you again, but I'm getting a little worried; my withdrawal bleed is due tomorrow, still I keep thinking that I put myself at risk. I know that I didn't touch my privates right after having touched my bf-TI felt a little pre-ejaculate on him. I'm just concerned that after having touched over my underwear, which was damp, or toilet paper, that I had a risk. I did take pregnancy tests to ease my mind: The last one was 22 days after the incident. I still keep worrying that the result isn't accurate because I took it in the middle of the day or didn't use it correctly. I just need to make sure that my instincts are correct and that I don't need to worry....Thank you

Your instincts are indeed correct, and backed up with facts no less. Sperm can't live on hands (or anywhere else), nor do they penetrate clothing. So there's no way that what you described is a risk. Have you read any of the material on our site about pregnancy risks? Would you like to?

Hi Robin, Thanks for your quick response. I have read the articles and I know that I don't need to worry. It's just that I read in some cases that there is no risk, while in others that it's a low risk. I then start to doubt what I believe/know. Because I have a bit of OCD, I tend to worry a lot and constantly look for reassurance on online, which can cause me to worry more...Thanks again for your reassurance.
