HI ghf, How long have you been on the antidepressants? Many antidepressant medications are known to cause sexual changes, both in one's desire for sex and one's physical sexual responses. I suggest that you speak with your doctor about this. If you and your doctor determine that it is, or might be, the medication making this happen, your doctor can adjust your dose or switch you to a different medication. I know it feels really icky to have your body do things you don't want it to do, and not do things that you do want it to do. Take a good deep breath. It's unlikely that this is a permanent state of being for you. It's hard to just stop worrying because someone tells you to, but I do encourage you to work on not worrying; worry and stress magnify everything, including sexual challenges. So, your first step would be making an appointment with your doctor. How does that sound?

Nodding... So the infrequent ejaculation and orgasm was happening before you started the antidepressants. Am I understanding that correctly? When you say that you've only come a few times, do you mean that you've only ejaculated a few times, or that you've only had an orgasm a few times. Ejaculation and orgasm are actually two separate occurrences, though many guys experience them together.

There are a lot of reasons why someone might not ejaculate or experience orgasms often including physical problems, emotional difficulties, and just the unique quirks of their own body. I know it's really upsetting and frustrating. I wish I had an instant solution for you, but it's unlikely that, even if I knew exactly what the problem was (and I don't know that) I'd have a solution that would make it alright all at once. From what you're saying here, it sounds like you dont' want to wait until the depression is under control before exploring this. It's okay to go back to your doctor and tell her that. This is clearly causing you a lot of emotional distress. How long have you had the depression. Depression can often impact physical and emotional sexual response. I also want to check in with you about how old you are. When boys go through puberty it's common for them to start getting aroused and having erections a while before they start ejaculating.

Well, a doctor who specializes in sex is typically a sex therapist. A doctor who specializes in reproductive organs like the vagina, vulva and uterus is a gynecologist. One who specializes in organs like the penis and testes is a urologist. I don't see any need for you to see any of these doctors, but if your primary care physician or therapist does, they could give you a referral.

Yes, condoms do come in different sizes. As well, different brands fit differently.

Hi ghf, Have you taken a look at Condom Basics: A User's Manual ? It could be that you aren't putting the condom on correctly. Alternatively, maybe you need to try a different size/brand. Luckily condoms are relatively cheap so trying a bunch of different ones isn't going to set you back too much. I also wanted to say that as someone who takes antidepressants, I really get how difficult reaching orgasm can be sometimes. The best advice I can give is not to focus on having an orgasm but rather enjoy the sensations for their own sake. Marion
