I've still been thinking about inner labia surgery. I am bothered by the one side, its causing me pain by pinching and rubbing. It has become worse for me. Crossing my legs tends to bother me, wearing tight clothing, most underwear even pinch. I just hate it. I've tried kind of tucking it in , but it just gets bunched up and feels uncomfortable. Sometimes I can't even sit in jeans because of the pinching. I find myself standing with my legs apart alot, because I'm trying to adjust it and relieve the pain (without people noticing)
My boyfriend is very understanding of the fact, he has noticed that the one side is considerably longer, and he notices how I try to "privately" adjust myself to ease the pain. He knows what I'm going through, and I'm very open about it. Its not even the point that the one side is larger, its the fact that it hurts and has gotten more uncomfortable with time. I've delt with this since i was 12, i'm now 23 and I'm tired of trying to "get used to it". My boyfriend thinks I'm beautiful.. even down there but he says if its causing me pain he understands why I want to have it removed, he totally supports me and says he will be with me every step of the way...I was wondering.. is it cheaper to just get one side of the labia done? thanks so much )

We can't even begin to suggest what the costs associated with be or what would cost more or less. That would be something you'd have to address with an individual surgeon.
If you feel like this is something you truly want to do, I'd suggest that you vet surgeons very carefully. Interview multiple doctors, not just about prices...but about their infection rates, past patient outcomes, education & training, etc. You want a specialist, not just a general surgeon or even a general plastic surgeon. Given that this is a very specialized area, you may even have to travel out of your area or state to find someone qualified. Once something like this is done, it's done. You want the very best, most qualified, woman-friendly person you can get doing this...not some chop happy fly by night operation. Make sure that you are asking lots of questions and that they are being clear with you about risks and outcomes. You may not find that this eliminates your discomfort. You may lose sensation partially or even entirely. Depending on how your body develops scar tissue, you might end up with additional problems or pain. Or, it might be no big deal. I'm not trying to be scary, just honest with you. Any surgery is going to have risks. Any body modification is going to have risks. If you go to a doc who tells you it's all guaranteed to be just peachy perfect and you've got no risks, run the other way cause they're lying. Again, this is something I'd take my time with if you're serious. [ 02-21-2011, 09:16 AM: Message edited by: KittenGoddess ]

I also have large inner labia so I know exactly what your going through. I have learned to deal with how they look...but they are so uncomfortable! Im constantly reaching down my pants when no one is looking to adjust them. If I run or cross my legs they get twisted up and pinch. Tucking them in helps for a while but they just end up getting twisted up again and pinch some more. They also get dry and i guess chapped which makes them very irritated.
I too am tired of trying to "get used to it." Im sick of constantly being reminded of them. I hate seeing a bulge when I wear a swimsuit, I hate they get in the way when i have sex, and I hate being in pain down there all the time. So my last option is surgery. Im going to search around for a good doc, Im not big on surgery so I really have to trust the person. I hope you find a great surgeon and get this problem taken care of with no problems! Good Luck!
