this is really personal, but I really wish my inner labia were symmetrical. One is a little bigger than the other and it bothers me. I remember when i was little i would always pull on one and i think that is why one is a little longer. I've heard of "labia stretching" , they are using weights and pulling. I just want mine to be the same size or close to. What can I do.. Is there anything at home i can use? Is surgery really necessary? I mean sometimes I just think about cutting the one down a little so that its more the same size and just allowing it to heal. Would that be dangerous? What are the risks? I'm really embarassed of it and I feel gross. What can I do ?

Yes, trying to cut one of your own labia down would not only be painful, but dangerous as well. You could easily get an infection. You could damage your nerves. You could bleed severely. Under no circumstances should you try to do this.
So here's the thing, humans are asymmetrical. That's just the way our bodies are. If you discovered that one of your arms was a tiny big longer than the other, would you cut some off? How about your face or leg or ears? The best answer here is to accept that this is the way your body is...it's natural, it's normal, and there's nothing wrong with it...it's beautiful. Unless you spent hours each and every day while you were young pulling on one of your labia, it's almost definitely not anything you did that caused them to be bigger than the other. There's really no reason to feel embarrassed or gross about it. Nobody is completely symmetrical, nor would you likely find that most women have perfectly symmetrical labia.

Thanks, I really wish I could get them symmetrical though. Do you know how I could get them to be the same or close? Thank you

Again honey, what if you noticed that one of your arms was a little longer than the other? Arms are much more publicly visible than your labia. Would you be wanting to lengthen one arm or shorten the other? Probably not.
I can't say this enough times, but humans are asymmetrical. There are almost certainly other parts of your body that are different sizes as well. And there are certainly other women, likely the majority, who have asymmetrical labia. Short of surgery, which is expensive and risky (pain, potential loss of sensation or sexual pleasure, scaring, etc.) there's not much you're going to be able to do make your labia symmetrical. Body modifications like stretching generally cause large changes to body parts, not small ones. I don't think that is a route you probably want to go. If you were interested in participating in ANY kind of body modification, that really is something you want to take the time to learn about properly from credible resources. It can be dangerous and you can get hurt if you are not very careful and using safe techniques. Really though, I don't think this is the answer here. Your time would be much better spent learning to love your body exactly as it is, the way nature/your chosen deity/whatever made it. Is there a reason why you are so focused on this or why it seems like a big deal for you? [ 05-15-2009, 08:06 AM: Message edited by: KittenGoddess ]
