I just finished my period yesterday, I still have a little brown when I wipe myself. Me and my husband were in the shower and I went in for about 10-15 seconds. He didn't ejaculate, I think I barely got the head in because we were in the shower and it hurt. Am I safe? I normally ovulate 3 weeks after my period because I'm irregular. So am I safe from being pregnant?! I don't think he had pre-ejaculate because the water had him dry.

There is always a risk with intercourse, but since your partner didn't ejaculate, that risk is very low. STIs are the bigger concern in a situation like this.

So you're saying I'm safe from pregnancy? Is it true that after your period is a little safer? I mean, he didn't ejaculate, I only stuck the head in, he was dry because of the water, I went in for 20 seconds. I'm just so terrified.

As Karybu said, you have had a pregnancy risk, but it is very low. How "safe" intercourse is depends on when you ovulate, and there's no way of knowing that unless you chart your basal temperatures and cervical mucus daily.

Well I ended my period the day before yesterday and we had sex yesterday for about 15 seconds unprotected. I'll most likely ovulate in about 2-3 weeks because my period is irregular. So how long does sperm live inside of you? He didn't ejaculate but just in case the pre-ejaculate contained sperm.

It doesn't really matter how long the sex lasted, unprotected intercourse will pose a pregnancy risk. Also, unless you chart your basal temperatures and cervical mucus daily like September said, you do not know when you ovulate. Not ejaculating, rather than where you are in your cycle, is why the risk of pregnancy is lower in this situation. Sperm can live inside of you up to 7 days.

Hm, I'm terrified. Sorry for all the questions, when is the best time to take a pregnancy test? I'm irregular and I can't really know if I missed a period. Sometimes my period is late for 1 week or 2. Can I take a test next week? In two weeks?

If your period is irregular, then you can test 2 weeks after the risk happened. If you get a negative and still after another week don't get your period test again to be safe.

Well it's been basically 4 weeks since the incident happened on October 1st. Can I already take a test? Please answer me, anyone. I'm beyond worried. :'((

Yes, like Stephanie said, you can take the test 2 weeks after the risk, so 4 weeks after it is fine.

I am so scared of taking the test. I've been having diarrhea so much because my tummy is so scared. How can I take the test without being terrified? :'/

Do you have a home test right now? If you do, I'm here this morning, and would certainly be happy to basically talk together right here while you take it, wait for the results, and after the results.

Aw, I'm so sorry for not being there at the time. I'm taking it tomorrow morning when I buy the test.

I will be working for a bit tomorrow morning, and I'm also behind you timezone-wise. But others are here, too. So, do you think it would help if you could have someone here while you take it?
