Sometimes we will be in a situation or space where we are worried about something, or temporarily uncomfortable emotionally, and some, most or all of what we can do about that is wait it out.

In other words, sometimes we can do things to manage a stressful situation, for sure. But sometimes some of what we need to do is just wait and be patient. Sometimes, that is all we can do. Pregnancy scares are a biggie for this, but so are things like waiting for someone you like to call you back, waiting to get some healthcare you have an appointment for, waiting for STI test results, waiting to get the time and experience under your belt to reach orgasm, waiting to get out on your own, or waiting to see if something changes in a relationship when you are trying something new or working together to resolve conflict.

I have noticed some of our users having a very, very hard time with that waiting, with that patience. Some of you express, in various ways, wanting something to change or end RIGHT NOW when it just is not going to. When you have to just wait and take care of yourself in the meantime.

With that in mind, here is a spot to talk to each other while you wait and offer each other support and help in the meantime.

By the way, I am currently in a waiting space myself.

Something I find helps me a lot, and maybe might help you, is to keep reminding myself that everything in life is impermanent. In other words, absolutely nothing is forever, it is change that is always a given, and times when we are not comfortable, physically or emotionally, are nearly guaranteed to pass.

When something feels like it will go on forever, and never change or end, that is not because it won't, because it will, as everything does. It is our impatience and our yucky feelings that make that seem so. In reality, this too shall pass.
