I've spent too long "beating myself up," mentally, having a harder time dealing with the present because all my attention has been captured by past thoughts and feelings I'm having a hard time letting go of.
I need some relief.

I see in one of your prior posts that there was talk of you struggling with anxiety and/or depression. Have you looked into getting any type of counseling at all yet? I think this would help. While it's common problem to be beating yourself up over past mistakes, there comes a point where it isn't healthy. At some point you need to be able to gather yourself up, learn from your mistakes, and continue on with life.
Having serious anxiety and/or depression can make this seriously hard. So, how are you doing with that?
