Just a heads-up:

RAINN is soon opening a fully confidential, online 24-hour rape crisis and support hotline.

Just may want to keep your eyes peeled as it develops, for yourself, for friends, what have you. It's supremely awesome that they're developing this, since as we know from Scarleteen, online access to crisis support is very widely used and very much needed.

For anyone who is interested, RAINN is always looking for Online Volunteers. They have many training sites across the country.

For more information, check it out here:

Also, they have online tutorials for those of you looking for ways to talk to friends, family members, or loved ones if they are considering suicide. It also goes over some of the indicators. According to the site, survivors of sexual assault are up to 6 times more likely to commit suicide than people in the general population, and approximately a third of survivors of sexual assault will think about suicide in their lifetime, and 17% will attempt suicide. This is the site for RAINN training:
