My daughter is only 11 yrs. old. She is developing and does not take the initiative to come to me and talk to me about it because she is embaressed. I talk to her about these things but she never has any questions or concerns. Apparently, she'll ask her 14 yr old cousin about sex. As for me, she won't talk with me. I do all the talking and get no response. How can I get her to open up to me?

Take cues from the environment and start asking *her* some questions.

i'll move this to Parents Adults nad Teens so you can get input from a few other moms, dads and kids who hang around here.
