Not sure where it would be most appropriate for this to go, so it's going here .
Basically, I haven't been on Scarleteen for nearly a month and a half, until today. I've started a new college and this site was blocked due to 'content deemed unsuitable'. It's been really weird for me and I've felt that I was one of a very few people here that gave a damn about LGBT rights and sexuality and sex in general, which was quite isolating. This is also the first situation I've ever been in where I've had to 'come out' to people, which has been, well, scary, quite frankly. However, as of a few days ago, I got involved in the Gender, Sexuality and Sexual Health group here and used the fact we want to do some sex ed. as a reason to get the admin. to unblock Scarleteen. Which they did . I promptly emailed the link to this site to everyone in the group and got a really positive response from one of the guys.
So, in short, thank you for being amazing and educational and aiding me in gaining the self-confidence it took to do things like join sexuality groups and be open about my identity and accept that this is something I really care about. Much love and appreciation to the whole Scarleteen family . x x x
