Things in my life have gotten really crazy (and crazy busy) lately, but I realized that I'm not really depressed anymore, and that I don't have time to think about it. So my new motto is "An adventure a day keeps depression at bay."
I would like to be clear that this isn't necessarily true for all people who have been depressed, and that for some people it might be impossible to get out of bed to experience the adventure or whatever. I'm just saying this is what's currently working for me, and I'm proud of myself for being able to keep going, even though life keeps throwing surprises, many of which are unpleasant at me. In other words, if you're familiar with the bucket metaphor, I have a larger bucket than I used to (at least for now) and I'm more able to roll with the punches.
