I've been on anti-anxiety medication for about eighteen months, and now I've graduated I figured it's time to come off it. I'm down to a half-dose, doctor says I can take it back up if I need it, but I think I'll be fine, and with any luck soon I'll be able to come off altogether. It's good to know I have the option of going back on it if I have problems, but I didn't want to stay on it indefinitely, so I'm very pleased about that.

Everything else is going okay. Managing not to stew over things I can't control and to think things through better before I say them. Sometimes I do get unwanted thoughts but I can usually clear them out with reasonable ease. Still not employed, but I have found a lot of places to look for work so I'm hopeful something will come up soon.

Mizchastain, I'm so proud of you! Congratulations for graduating, managing your thoughts and anxieties (especially over the things you cannot control), and deciding to hopefully come off your meds! You are a very brave and strong person, and I commend you for all your hard work. Keep being you!

Congrats Mizchastin! On graduating and on being able to come off of that medication. I imagine that having the option to go back on the meds if need be is super-comforting too.

Congrats!

More good news; I was angry about something again today, and emailing my boyfriend almost immediately calmed me down. I think the problem I have when I'm angry is I just need to talk about it to process it, and I need appropriate places to do that. Boyfriend is quite happy to help ^_^ So it's good I have a coping mechanism for that.

That's great that you have a secure outlet to vent and to further manage your anxiety! You should be proud of yourself! [Smile]
